James Daneke has been a licensed real estate broker in California off and on since 2004. He has lived in the area for over 30 years since 1959. He is a currently a Realtor.
Jim’s father was Robert Henry who started American River Bank and was a member of the Rotary, St. Claire Club, Boys City Boys Club.
Jim’s mother was Janet Robertson Daneke. James and his mother share the Robertson name. Jan graduated Sacramento City in 1941 and attended Berkeley where she joined Kappa Alpha Theta, and she then attended University of Montana and Radcliffe University in Boston. She was active as a Theta in Santa Clara, Sacramento, and Palm Desert. Her daughter Ann Worthington is also a Theta, as is one of her daughters.
Jim’s paternal grandfather was Henry Daneke who was a GMAC senior vice-president from Brooklyn and a Member of F.&A.M. #6 of Albany, N.Y. His wife died in childbirth when his son was born and his twin daughter (jim’s aunt) also perished in the childbirth of my father.
Jim’s maternal grandfather was A.H. (Robby) Robertson who was a member of the Sutter Club, Del Paso Country Club, F.&A.M #3 , Scottish Rite, Shriners, and was a beloved stockbroker with Deal Witter. Robby loved golf, the Club, martinis, and cards, and his grandchildren.
Jim has lived in Arden Park, Wilhagen, Del Deyo Estates, Del Paso Manor, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Carmichael. Jim attended Mariemont, and Arden Jr. High, then Redwood Middle School in Saratoga, Rolling Hills Middle School in Cambpell, Bellarmine College Prep. in San Jose, Westmont High School in Campbell, West Valley College in Saratoga, University of Iowa In Iowa City, California State University, Chico.
James was injured with a Traumatic Brain Injury (T.B.I.) and is disabled and cannot smell or taste correctly. His days as a pilot and chef are numbered.
